Service
Ely Cross Country Vehicles is the
best place in East Anglia for Land Rover service. The current workshop labour
rate is £45 plus VAT per hour (£51.75 inc VAT). All service work is
carried out according to a fixed price agreed before work starts. During servicing, if
additional work is required you will receive a call to describe the
extent and cost of the repairs.
The
service department can deal with all the routine repairs and service
your Land Rover needs. We hold parts and service information for all
current production vehicles. The archive goes back to the introduction
of the Series II range in 1958.
If your Land Rover is within
the manufacturer's warranty period then only Land Rover dealer supplied parts are used for
service work. This preserves your warranty AND saves you money. There is a huge range of
replacement parts available to help run your Land Rover at a more agreeable price.

Ely Cross Country Vehicles uses Autologic equipment for diagnostic fault finding.
Autologic, developed by
Diagnos Ltd., is probably the
best diagnostic tool for Land Rovers. Autologic can check all onboard computer controlled
functions in Land Rovers built since 1989. The Td5 Land Rover engine suffers from a
"flat spot" below about 1600rpm. It is possible to improve this flat spot by
reprogamming the engine computer to deliver more torque and power.
This gives a
great improvement in vehicle performance and often delivers an increase
in mpg as fewer gear changes are required. The Td4 Freelander,
Td6 Range Rover and 1.8K Freelander from 2001 model year can all be

All repairs can be undertaken in
the workshop, from changing a wheel to changing a chassis frame.
Chassis frame changeovers are
usually carried out on older Defenders and Series models. When an
older vehicle is stripped and rebuilt on a galvanised frame all the
chassis related moving parts can be renewed or reconditioned.
Your pride and joy or family heirloom will then drive like
new and be fit for many years' service. This work is photographed
